FORUM SYD has invited Mbale Tigers and Twiga to attend a seminar in Sweden 4-8th December 2007.
The invitation is based upon Mbale Tigers' successful work using "Sports as a Tool för Development" and the inclusion of youths in the club.

The aim of the exchange is to develop knowledge and ideas as to how young people can be involved in organisational programme and project activities related to poverty reduction.

Different relevant methods will be discussed, as advocacy/opinionmaking activities, inclusion, awareness raising (for ex. Hiv/aids prevention), mobilisation/building network alliances and behavioural change, partnership between adults and young people and political participation at the local or national level.

The main idea is for each organisation to act as a source of inspiration by sharing methods and experiences of their work and bringing forward successful examples.

Mbale Tigers'  Matsyetsye Emmanuel and the top player Nekesa Rita will come to Sweden to attend the seminar. After the seminar the two will also experience training in three different Swedish clubs in three cities. The cities will be Stockholm, Borås and Ulricehamn.

Very welcome to Sweden!
